Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an Animal Health Certificate cost?

Our Animal Health Certificates start from just £50. Additional pets and other services may incur extra charges, which will be displayed during booking.

How long is an Animal Health Certificate valid?

An AHC must be issued within 10 days before EU entry. It generally allows onward travel within the EU for up to four months from issue, or until the rabies vaccination expires, whichever occurs first. It also permits re-entry into Great Britain within its applicable validity.

A new AHC is generally required for each separate trip from Great Britain to the EU.

Can I include more than one pet?

Yes. Up to five eligible dogs, cats or ferrets can normally travel on the same non-commercial AHC, provided the relevant conditions are met.

Does my pet need to attend?

Yes. Your pet must attend so the Official Veterinarian can complete the necessary identification checks before certification.

Do I need to be registered with Furry Flyers?

No. You can continue using your regular veterinary practice for routine veterinary care.
